PS Kemi was established on October 21 in Finland. The club competed in the Finnish premiership but the financial difficulties meant the club was demoted. Kemi City FC was born and began 2018/19 season in the 4th tier of the Finnish football league, known to the local fans as the ‘Kolmonen’.

In its first season, Kemi City FC earned a promotion to the 3rd tier, the Kakkonen, finishing at the top spot and winning the Championship. The members of the board played a major role in raising football standards in the coming years to top tier level while developing activities for young boys and girls. This way, many young promising players are groomed and developed, while getting the opportunity to play at a high level at the London home ground of the club – KEMI CITY FC LONDON.
