The Player

The former England and Liverpool striker has a rich experience of playing for the biggest European clubs in the world. Owen emerged on the football stage after a series of spirited performances for Liverpool. But it was the 1998 World Cup that truly saw Owen bursting on the scene with that iconic goal Argentina that saw him run from the halfway line to score an absolute gem. After his spell with Liverpool, he went on to play for a Real Madrid side that featured Galacticos such as Zidane, Figo, Raul, Beckham and Roberto Carlos. After returning to England, Owen had brief stints at Newcastle United and Stoke City before hanging up his boots. After calling time on his trophy-laden playing career, Owen has since been plying his football knowledge and experience on analyzing games on one of the biggest British broadcasters as a football pundit.
